Fujifilm Rent-to-Own makes owning a camera easier

FUJIFILM South Africa has successfully completed the overhaul of its Innovation Centre Africa, located in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. As the first Innovation Centre on the African continent, it provides not only a one-stop demonstration area for new solutions, but now incorporates a number of improvements and FUJIFILM products previously not present.

The Jacaranda FM ‘Off the Beaten Track’ is a spectacular annual event, which combines music, family and sport to create a space where you can have the perfect family fun day enjoying the amazing outdoors of the South African landscape while being entertained by celebrated musicians.
It is one of the world’s largest photo exhibitions and it is making its way to South Africa. The FUJIFILM PrintLife Exhibition is unique, allowing anyone, and not just professional photographers, to submit an image, have it printed and then proudly displayed to the public to help promote the beauty of printed photos. The Exhibition is to be held at Sandton City between 18-24 June 2019, with an expected 3000 photos from across the country on show.
I had an early start on the road at 5 am.
It was a 6-hour drive to the private game reserve. My excitement levels were off the charts. Not just because I was off on Safari but mostly because of the black square box with the Fujifilm logo on the back seat of my 4x4. The previous night at the launch of the Fujifilm X-H1 in Johannesburg. I had bought the X-H1.
I often get asked when I started with photography. it is a question with many possible answers. I prefer to say photography found me when I was 5 years old. My dad had an SLR from somewhere in the 70’s which he let me hold, manually focus until the image was clear, and press the button. It was like time stood still for an eternity and that moment was cemented in my memory. from that day, I could not go anywhere without it being a visual safari of epic proportions…
I grew up in Edenvale, Johannesburg (mid to deep east) - so you could say I'm middle Eastern. After I came out of an egg, my dear mom and dad couldn't decide on a name and thankfully my father - Geoffrey - talked my mom out of naming me Zeek - true story. They went with something that would read, if the title of 'Dr' was put before it. Dr Ross Maxwell it was! Unfortunately I disappointed Desne' and didn't go on to become a doctor of anything, although if I EFT you cash from my bank account, it reads the latter (truth).....
